Alliance

SBaA is an independent advocacy group composed of legal entities and operating as an industry cluster. It is an executive platform for the cooperation among the public and private sectors, innovators, the academic community and financial institutions. Its aim is to participate in the battery value chain in Europe.

The Alliance was established in 2019 and has received with the bronze European Cluster Management Excellence Label, which is awarded by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis. It is a member of the European Battery Alliance.

UPJS succeeded in the Recovery Plan with the SUNFLOWERS proj

Kosice, August 5, 2025 The Faculty of Science of Pavol Jozef Safarik University (UPJS) in Kosice, in collaboration with domestic and international partners, has successfully secured support for the international research project SUNFLOWERS (Development and Design of Sustainable Composite Materials for Hybrid Energy Storage System Based on Li-Ion and Redox-Flow Batteries). The project is funded under the largest call of Slovakia’s Recovery Plan in the field of research, development, and innovation, through the Research and Innovation Authority.
