Alliance

SBaA is an independent advocacy group composed of legal entities and operating as an industry cluster. It is an executive platform for the cooperation among the public and private sectors, innovators, the academic community and financial institutions. Its aim is to participate in the battery value chain in Europe.

The Alliance was established in 2019 and has received with the bronze European Cluster Management Excellence Label, which is awarded by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis. It is a member of the European Battery Alliance.

SBaA participated in the Visegrad 4 Business conference in B

Bratislava, June 10, 2025 Representatives of the Slovak Battery Alliance (SBaA) took part in the important conference Visegrad 4 Business, organized by the Council of Slovak Exporters with its partner organizations from the V4 countries. Maros Sefcovic, European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, spoke at the conference and reported on current trade issues and the European Union's relations with the USA and some other countries. In his speech and answers, he also touched upon the energy sector and its importance for the key automotive industry.

The only cluster in Slovakia, SBaA operates in the fields of strategy, legislation and communication to build a comprehensive battery chain in Slovakia.

Every link in the battery value chain from extraction, acquisition and processing of raw materials through the manufacturing of battery components, battery cells and battery systems all the way to reuse (second life) and recycling of batteries is extremely important and depends on a good interaction with other links.
