HRAB Innovative System for Intelligent Flexibility Management in the Energy Sector

Bratislava, June 30, 2026

ENERGODATA s.r.o., a member of the Slovak Battery Alliance (SBaA), has successfully completed the development of the HRAB – Hybrid Aggregation Block Controller project. The new solution addresses the growing share of renewable energy sources and introduces advanced tools for intelligent, real-time flexibility management within the power system.

The HRAB project leverages artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced data analytics to process large volumes of operational and meteorological data. This enables the system to forecast future developments within the power system and optimize decision-making regarding the utilization of energy resources.

A key component of the solution is the aggregation module, which integrates certified balancing service providers and non-certified flexibility resources into a single intelligent virtual entity. The system dynamically balances power output and energy flows, thereby increasing the operational efficiency of the entire power system.

A unique feature of the project is its autonomous hybrid decision-making module. Without requiring operator intervention, it continuously evaluates current market conditions together with the technical parameters of individual resources and automatically determines whether they should be deployed for balancing services or for flexibility management.

The project also includes the TASDR terminal, which ensures secure real-time data exchange and enables integration with the European MARI and PICASSO platforms for balancing energy management and cross-border ancillary services.

The HRAB project delivers a modern solution that combines digitalization, artificial intelligence, and automation. It contributes to greater stability and security of the Slovak power system, more efficient integration of renewable energy sources, and optimization of operational costs.

The Slovak Battery Alliance welcomes the successful innovations developed by its members, which are advancing the Slovak energy sector towards a smarter, more flexible, and more sustainable energy future. The HRAB project is an excellent example of how Slovak technology companies can develop solutions with strong potential for deployment across Europe.

The HRAB project was co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic.
